DJ SWITCH

Two time DMC World battle champ and party starter

Anthony John Culverwell is an ordinary middle-class citizen of the British Isles…by day. But by night-time, he transforms into his alternative persona, the superhuman speed machine DJ SWITCH!!! Erm, actually no he doesn’t. But to say that Switch’s estoric rise to fame is nothing less than dramatic would be very accurate - five times UK DJ champion (an unprecedented feat), three consecutive UK supremacy titles (another unprecedented feat), two back-to-back WORLD battle titles (erm, yeah another one), and all by the tender age of twenty!

The clean-shaven Brummie has been featured on Blue Peter, BBC Breakfast, MTV, Radio 1 and 1Xtra. You may be shocked to know that he’s been going since he was eleven, and has chalked up headline gigs from Bulgaria to China to Denmark to every county in England. And Tony’s support slots read like a who’s who of the musical world, including DJ Yoda, Shy FX, Nero, DJ Kentaro, Jack Beats, The Scratch Perverts, Jazzy Jeff & Public Enemy.

His performances are a combination of mesmerising scratch skills, visceral visuals and stunning track selection - all combining to leave the crowd staring in awe and dancing till they drop. At the same time, if physically possible.

DJ Switch is something very special indeed and WILL rock the party!

The London icon in hot-pink lipstick is without a doubt the most striking DJ, television personality, party planner and fashion muse to hit the Capital this Millennium. With Circus at the Soho Revue Bar, Issue, Foreign and many other club nights under her glittery belt, Jodie Harsh morphed from the being the belle of the ball, to reining Queen supreme over London’s nightlife. The Disco deviant here to save the world of dance music...

The Disco deviant, the dance floor rebel, the final taboo, she’s on a mission and frankly you shouldn’t all be encouraging her, who knows where this might end. If you happen to be in the room while Popcox is on the decks, expect to be scowled at, winked at, bitten, chewed up and spat out in a musical fiesta of phat electrofunk, disco infused house mixed up with cutting edge house and techno to make you boogie so hard yo’ gonna ache all next week girl!

With successful 12 year career as a pro DJ already behind her, Popcox has re-invented herself in the most dramatic way imaginable. Racking up the gigs like tequila slammers, the Bitch seems intent on reviving long forgotten instruments from cow bells, to strings and funky guitars in her sets; rebellion against dull house music.

Having headlined Pacha, The Egg and White House in London and Helsinki in Leicester, plus sets at Aquarium, Ghetto and The Hoxton Pony. She’s also found time to launch of her own night POPCOX PRESENTS and had guest radio mixes on Ministry of Sound and House FM, all within the first few weeks of launching the project. She’s pushed the pedal to the metal and has plenty more in store with no less than 6 productions in the pipeline and POPCOX TV already in the editing suite this fresh and zany DJ concept is sure to go far. She is just about to release her new EP featuring some heavy hitters in the Electro and House music world.

The ultimate antidote to all things chin-strokey, Popcox has had an epiphany, her life mission is one of musical rebellion, the revolution starts here…
