Kiss  star DJ/producer Swerve is now exclusively signed with Musicola!

After working with him on a non exclusive basis for a number of years, all of DJ Swerve’s bookings from now on will be handled by us. DJ Swerve is broadcast across the Kiss Network between Mon - Thurs 2100 - 2300 showcasing the best hip hop, R&B and club bangers!

A former DMC finalist, DJ Swerve is technically one of the best DJs around. His achievements speak for themselves and confirm that he did not rely on luck like many amateur poker players to achieve what he has today. He has a series of gold selling compilations to his name, mixing the Pure Hip Hop series as well as mixing Kiss compilations. 2009 has been a big year for him with his two productions with Lethal Bizzle! Add to this his remixes of Kyla’s ‘Do You Mind’ and her follow up ‘Daydreaming’ and it is easy to see that DJ Swerve is set for huge things this year!

It’s official! The next in the ultra successful series of ‘Pure Garage’ albums is to be mixed by no other than Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont!

Released through Warners, the Pure Garage series of albums is the best selling mix album showcasing the best current funky house and uk garage tracks alongside classics of days gone by. The next album is due for release at the start of December with a club and university tour to follow from December into the new year. the tour will feature album giveaways, competitions and a DJ set from Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont with MC CKP.

Musicola are pleased to announce that Skepta, Baby J and Ras Kwame have joined the roster!

Skepta is one of the most talented MCs on the UKG and grime scene and his track ‘Rolex Sweep’ has been one of the biggest club hits of 2008! His live performances have been legendary and with a MOBO nomination and fantastic new material lined up into 2009, things can only get better for this rising star!

Baby J is a top producer and DJ probably best known for this year’s remix of ‘Valerie’ by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse featuring a selection of the UK’s top MCs! He has worked with many of the top rappers and urban artists on both sides of the pond and was recently commissioned to produce a track and video for the government campaign ‘Want Respect, Use a Condom’. His album ‘Babyfood’ hits the streets on 13th October with guest performances from Ashley Walters & Nathan amongst others!

Ras Kwame hosts the Homegrown Radio Show on Radio 1 and 1Xtra and is a top club DJ of many years standing. His show has been the launchpad to the masses for many of the UK’s stars including Estelle, Taio Cruz, Kano and Dizzee Rascal. His club sets spin the best urban from the UK and the US and there are plenty of other things on the horizon for him including album releases and a Homegrown Uk tour in 2009.
